Why I’d love to eliminate ‘cum’ from erotica

Honestly, I hate the word. I’m a writer, I’m supposed to love words, but ‘cum’ is a word that I loathe. It yanks me out of a story. I would rather read ‘come’ instead. But there are so many other words you can use for reaching orgasm, such as orgasm, or climax. There are better ways to describe it. I find ‘cum’ to be more porny and I write hardcore erotica where there’s no love, just lust, a need to fuck, not make love.

How about ‘jet one’s juice’? A friend said ‘explosive release’. There are a ton of ways to explain that your character got off. ‘Cum’ and ‘cumming’ – while utilized a lot in the Erotica writing industry, will remain out of my vocabulary.

Also, the only time the spelling ‘cum’ is acceptable is when you’re referring to the song “Cum On Feel the Noize”.
