More Releases Coming from the Cards of Passion Series
Yes, that was a pun.
New Release: The Cartomancer’s Curse
You can find The Cartomancer’s Curse by Kaitlin Schmidt on Amazon. We still have three books to go. It’s been fun and a trial of tribulations!
The Cartomancer’s Curse is an enemies to lovers (yes, actually) sapphic romantasy. I’m so excited to read this one, too. The weather is perfect for reading, rainy with a side of thunder.
Just look at that cover. The crossed keys sold it for me. I mean… nothing says enemies to lovers like crossing… objects.
THE CARTOMANCER’S CURSE is a steamy enemies-to-lovers romantasy in which two women succumb to desire, explore sexual bondage, and unravel a magical mystery.
Next Release: The Deed with the Duke
Sri Savita wrote the next installment, and it comes out tomorrow. Highly recommend to all you historic romance fans.
There are pets! There are games of chance! There are steamy scenes!
The colors on the cover just Pop! And a writing instrument? Yessss….
THE DEED WITH THE DUKE is a steamy, lust-at-first-sight Regency romance with a grumpy Indian hero, a sunshine Indian heroine, and adorable animal antics.
You can also follow both Kaitlin and Sri on Substack and Instagram.
Remember, you can support authors in so many ways. You can share the books with a friend. You can write a review. You can follow them on social media. None of this is required, but always appreciated, especially by indie authors.

Sinful Tryst by Ally Daine is finally available in Kindle Unlimited!
We have both experienced some serious oddball issues during the past few weeks.
First, her ebook vanished. I watched her go through all the steps for ebook and paperback. [We have receipts!] And something went sideways.
Then, the techs told her (finally) to upload again. When they tried linking it to the paperback, it disappeared!
It’s like this book is heisting itself.
New Version of Stumbling Toward Serenity times 2 3 4
I made some minor changes to Stumbling Toward Serenity for the paperback, and Amazon started yelling at me about my cover. It’s the same cover I’d had up since August.
Why, you ask? Someone, AI or Human, I’m not sure, phoned it in and declared my novella to be a low content book because of the word “cards,” and my cover was a problem.

During our review, we found that the book format is not supported. KDP offers paperback and hardcover print formats. Content designed for other formats, such as wall-hanging calendars, magazines, periodicals, or spiral-bound books are not allowed. To prevent a negative customer experience, we will not be making the book available for sale on Amazon. Learn more about KDP’s content guidelines.
Like what? How? I never declared the book was low content in my KDP setup. I tried three times uploading the new manuscript and cover to no avail, thinking it was a bot issue.
I’m guessing once a human declared it low content, the AI just kept repeating the issue via email.
Why is LiveChat so hard to find, Amazon?
Long story short… shout-out to Laura for helping me get my book properly reviewed by the team.
And then, because there’s always another issue, right? I saw that Atticus, for some reason, added 1. 2. 3. and 4. to chapter headings in the TOC.
Please stay tuned for my post about using Atticus.
So, I had to do it all over again. My biggest fear didn’t occur. The book went through review and stayed a book. The paperback is fixed. However, I can’t seem to do much to get my Kindle to update the ebook. I was able to update it previously, but this time it’s being stubborn.
