Today’s erotic journal challenge is for the Sex Type Personality Test.

I am slightly confused about some of my results… let’s do this!

Analytical vs. Emotional

My thoughts:

But not so much that I’m irrational in my decision-making. At least, not anymore. I’ve made stupid mistakes in the past and, honestly, I’m going to put partial blame on the birth control pills for some of them.

Physical vs. Mental

You are more stimulated by physical interactions than the typical person. For you the most pleasurable aspect about sex is the physical act. Reaching climax is essential for you to feel sexually fulfilled. Pornography does not tend to satisfy you because you desire physical contact.

My thoughts:

Uh. What? I had the slider completely in the “I don’t require an orgasm” section, so that does not apply. If I’m notfulfilled during a solo session, then maybe I get frustrated.

I’m confused about the “porn doesn’t get you off, you need touch” part. Uh. It’s hard to get off if you don’t touch yourself. Or are touched by a partner. Am I wrong? Am I reading too much into this?

Attached vs. Independent

You are more independent than the typical person, you tend to be very cautious and take your time before revealing your feelings to others. And you prefer to engage in sex that has clear emotional boundaries.

My thoughts:

This is where that 90-day trial period happens. I’ll be me, but I’m not going to declare my love or anything. Yeesh.

My thoughts:

This is one of those I’m confused on. I feel I’m closer to spiritual than rational, but maybe only in certain situations.

Explorer vs. Bonder

This dimension describes your preferred type of romantic bond. Typical people have a mixed desire for both individual bonding and sexual variety.

My thoughts:

I tend towards serial monogamy. However, if I found a partner cool with ENM, I might be interested in that as well. Usually, if I’m getting my needs fulfilled, I have no desire going elsewhere.

Disciplined vs. Impulsive

This dimension describes how you focus your attention. Typical people are balanced between being spontaneous and disciplined.

My thoughts:

Another that depends on the situation. I prefer knowing things ahead of time and I’m not fond of surprises.

Tactile vs. Cerebral

This dimension describes whether you primarily encounter the world through your mind or body. Typical people enjoy a balance between being cerebral and physical.

My thoughts:

I do lean closer into positions I prefer sexually, but I’m also willing to try things that haven’t worked for me with past partners because this might be the one who it works with. I won’t know until I try.

Social and Sexual Makeup

This dimension describes your particular combination of social and sexual extroversion. Typical people are either socially and sexually extroverted or socially and sexually introverted.

My thoughts:

This is backwards. I’m socially introverted until I get to know people, then I’m openly extroverted within that group dynamic.

I’ve become a sexually extroverted with partners in private. I’m willing to talk about things we want to try, and I’m willing to invest money in order to experiment as well. I’m not sure how this once worked out this way.

Independently Content vs. Devotedly Erotic

This dimension describes how you prefer to connect with your sexual partners. Typical people are balanced between being sexually independent and satisfied and desiring deeper bonds and sexual exploration.

My thoughts:

This is where that serial monogamy comes into play. Even when it’s new, if we’re having sex, I’ll keep to that one person.

If I want to see someone else I’m not just going to go see someone else. I’ll have a conversation about where our boundaries are and how we want to go forward.

However, only if I want to pursue a sexual relationship. I have friends and I refuse to stop having friends just because someone gets jealous. Someone who gets easily jealous if I’m having a conversation with a guy won’t last long.

Like most quizzes and tests, answers are subjective and shouldn’t be taken as concrete. This test has sliders to gauge levels. My “agree” might be someone else’s “strongly agree” for all I know.

I’m glad I took the test. It gives me things to think about. Maybe I’m gaslighting myself on who I am and answered these questions with who I think I am.
