2025 Recap: The Black Hole that Keeps Sucking
…but not in a good way…

bye bye bye 2025
It’s Almost Over
This entire year has been a rollercoaster between what the actual fuck and oh my fucking god now what?
Personally, I’ve focused on specific accounts on social media, indulged in Supernatural again, watching a ridiculous amount of K-Dramas, and wrote some unhinged smut in between building a paranormal why choose romance universe.
Today, I had an epiphany about the main characters and how they were sacrificed in previous lives. I also blame K-Dramas for the reincarnation in the paranormal why choose romance series.
Honestly, I’m not sure how to genre-fy the why choose romance. There’s magic, and tech, and it’s modern or futuristic. There’s universal healthcare and basic income… the government is actually held accountable. It’s all the things we want in the good ole USA with magic, shifters, vampires, fae, and more. Of course, there are bad guys, true bad guys, not morally grey or villains to fall in love with, but bad guys who will suck your body into a husk and move on to the next victim.
All Access Pass Update
Thirteen chapters are scheduled to go out Monthly starting on January 3rd, at 8:00am Eastern. Yes, they are all behind a paywall. I’m still working on chapter fourteen. Benjamin and Vaughn just got done searching Bryce’s office and are about to walk in on Cal and Sabine… who were stuck together on the couch frozen in time waiting for me to finish chapter thirteen for a couple of weeks.
I’m not sure what was going on with me or them, but we kind of figured it out. Chapter fourteen goes back to the corporate espionage plot for a smidge of time.
Each chapter has an Author Note stating the following:
This is an adult erotic story. All characters are consenting adults. If you don’t want to read erotic stories where multiple characters are engaging in sexual activities (including men loving men) please unsubscribe.
Why?
Well, I’ve seen interesting things on social media where an author will see a review or receive an email getting screamed at by a reader because **shock** there was EXPLICIT SPICY OPEN DOOR SMUT on the page and they were totally blindsided.
Therefore, each chapter, yes EACH chapter, has the same author note at the top. If you don’t want the spice, smut, or sticky emulsions of an adult erotic story where a woman gets her bevy of men who also can’t keep their hands off each other, then please, please, I beg you, don’t subscribe.
Thank you.
Sideswiped by a Side Story
Whenever I’m writing, other stories start cropping up, trying to tempt me away. Which, let’s be honest, it’s not too hard to tempt me from current writing. However, this one is entwined with All Access Pass. No one can get away with sexy shenanigans in an office without someone finding out something, right? Right.
Boom. Four characters who meet up twice a week after work for food and drinks, lamenting their woes with work, love, and general first world stuff are sniffing out the sexy shenanigans.
And, of course, things get pretty smutty there as well. However, I won’t be having these characters enjoying The Sex with the All Access Pass crew. Well… maybe The Intern will… I could totally see that happening.
I’ll create a poll so you can all vote on it… somewhere. Or multiple places. We’ll see who wins.
New Cover

I didn’t like the cover so I redid it. Here’s the new one! It’s completely discreet! Which is silly since it’s not in paperback form – yet.
Yes, someday All Access Pass will be available in ebook and paperback. But first, we gotta get the WIP out, edited, revised, proofed, and then we can put it out there.
Hopefully everywhere.
Past and Current Reading
My TBR is so long that I’m certain I’d be buried under it if it wasn’t digital. Like writing, I hop from story to story. When one gets a little boring or too over the top, or … whatever the reason, I have a lot of titles to share.
Book Club Books
Until the World Falls Down – read for the book club. The smut scenes were well written. That’s all I have to say. To be honest, I tossed the rest of the book out of my brain and I won’t be reading book two.
I also listened to What Fury Brings for the book club and this is another book that was meh… it could’ve been better. No hate, just meh.
Series Books
Someone on TT almost sucked me into reading Brimstone, but someone who loves me sent a TT that spilled some tea and I’ve yeeted the idea. I hate-read Quicksilver and I refuse to put myself through that hellscape again. If you loved it, I’m glad. It definitely wasn’t meant for me.
I’ve also listened to the Graphic Audio for book one in the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown. I’m tentatively listening to book two. Due to announcements by a certain someone, I’ve started The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins. I did watch the movie previously, but just like the trilogy of the Hunger Games, these movies are best watched after reading or listening to the books. Why? Because you get into the characters heads while watching the movie.
I finally finished The Cruel Prince Trilogy and wow, that was good. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I still can’t fathom listening to House of Flame and Shadow Part Two or finish reading Queen of Shadows. I know, I know.
Books I’m Loving
Logan’s Flame by Dawn Love – If you enjoy starting out with a hot af dream about the FMC this is the book for you. The yearning is also excellent. This is a slow, tantalizing read for me as I haven’t finished it yet. I enjoy tormenting myself the same way characters do, go figure.
Welcome to Wavecrest 1 – 4 by Hilly Keen – I want to move here. If someone finds Wavecrest, send me a postcard. Another slow read. I soak in the tub and pick between Logan’s Flame and Welcome to Wavecrest.
Latest addition to the group in ebook format is Frostburn by Suleikha Snyder, a 20k word romantasy that I’m quite enjoying. Suleikha is one of my auto-buy authors and she should be one of yours, too.
In fact, due to a post on Threads by Suleikha, I’m listening to Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren on the Libby App. Hot. Vegas Wedding to Summer in Paris to … I’m not sure yet. I haven’t finished it, but I will.
Random Books
Due to a movie being made (Jared Padalecki will be playing the MMC *ahem*), I listened to The Bodyguard by Katherine Center. For the most part, I enjoyed the book. I’m glad I picked the audiobook as I might’ve gotten bored reading it. I’m weird. My brain is weird. Some books are better in ebook, others are better in audio.
Also, I listened to Beach Read by Emily Henry. Again, I expected to dislike the book, but surprisingly, I enjoyed it. The emotional upheaval was good. Again, probably better for me as an audiobook instead of an ebook.
There are a lot of audiobooks and ebooks I’m not adding to this list. Not because I didn’t like them, but because there are too many. I listen to audiobooks while driving, cleaning, going to the mailbox… I have to spend time between Supernatural and K-Drama watching doing something, right?
Dwight’s Corner (and vacation photos)
I’m happy to say that Dwight is living the dream… in his own judgy way. I “planted” him a garden before I headed to North Carolina with the kids and it was partially eaten and partially alive when I got home. I’ve removed those plants and went back to feeding him the usual way.
I’d like to plant him a garden in his habitat that can continuously feed him. He tends to rip out anything I try to do that with, though. He understood not to do so while I was on vacation. Dragons are smart, in case you were wondering. They can be trained, too.
Here are some vacation photos and Dwight photos:
